Job Title: Account Director

Brief Job Description: A great AD is the lynchpin of account management; a super pivotal role with heaps of accountability and influence. The senior team relies on you; the account teams look up to you. You’ll be commercially savvy and understand both the agencies and clients strategic goals. You’ll be managing the team to deliver the best possible work for our clients, and always looking for opps to do more projects; supporting KHWS’ vision.

A true team-player, you’ll set an example and lead from the front. You’ll ensure that we deliver best-in-class account management, day in, day out, and encourage, motivate and cajole your team to get the job done. You’ll be accessible and make smart decisions. You’ll put forward new and innovative ideas; and act as an idea generator for the team.

As you get the most face-time with the client, you’ll be encouraged to feed-back intel and ideas for new projects. You’ll skilfully manage-up, as well as managing the team to deliver consistently great work. You’ll really look out for them, and encourage them to grow and be their best selves. Looking for a great leader who can provide strategic direction and really allow them to shine.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Develop, manage and grow client relations at a senior level
  • Craft ideas that encourage the client to try new ideas
  • Look for opportunities to extract maximum value from existing projects and attract new ones
  • Be completely on top of your numbers (fees, scope, team chargeability/utilisation etc.)
  • Able to negotiate a good deal
  • Excellent understanding of the clients growth plans & objectives
  • Support with writing strategic marketing plans
  • Be a marketing expert across: web dev & delivery, shopper, ecrm etc
  • Understand how behavioural science can be used as a tool to produce innovative campaigns
  • Oversee and steward the delivery of projects for the client on time and budget
  • Demonstrate best–in-class account management
  • Understand where to delegate, where to manage, where you can add value
  • Work with Agency partners to deliver the best for KHWS and the Client

Skills & Experience:

  • You will have been working as a Front-End Developer for at least 4 years.
  • Experience of using ReactJs for SPA’s and application style interfaces for both native and mobile platforms.
  • Front-end techniques such as HTML, CSS, LESS, SASS
  • Understanding of build tools such as Gulp, Grunt.
  • Responsive web design and cross browser development.
  • Experience with version control (Git / Sourcetree).
  • A thorough understanding of code standards, compliance for accessibility, and device profiles.
  • A proven ability to work with back-end developers using the Umbraco and/or SiteCore content management systems.
  • A passion for creativity – you’ll love working in a creative environment
  • A people-person with a love of mentoring others and empowering them to deliver the best work possible
  • A clear and engaging communicator
  • Someone who keeps themselves up-to-date with the latest development best practices.
  • Proven ability to scope and estimate level of effort for the development of solution features and or functionality.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with ECMAScript 2015/2016.
  • Experience with DevOps workflow.
  • User experience concepts.
  • Experience in automated testing.

You’ll be super organised, able to manage your time and juggle multiple challenges. You’ll be interested in the clients business, eager to understand their growth plans and how individual projects ladder up to their broader vision and marketing campaigns. You’ll be growing your commercial and strategic knowledge and learning to flex these muscles. You’ll be a coordination whizz; so whether it’s writing a solid brief, managing a WIP, or a creating a status report; you can whip them all up with speed and finesse, to simultaneously manage client expectations and help keep the team on track.

A true team-player, you’ll be collaborative in nature, and set an example for the junior team who will look to you as a role-model.
