OK, let’s cut to the chase

We need our Senior Marketing Strategist to lead our strategy offer utilising their extensive experience in CX, branding and digital trends. The role involves unifying tactical executions into an overall solution for our clients, built on insight, to challenge, drive and support their long-term business objectives.

You will possess solid experience of developing strategies that cover anything from brand to marketing communications to overall digital strategy. Our executions often need to be supported and implemented through both B2B and B2C channels so it would be useful if you have proven experience in building both brands and digital ecosystems for clients including ecommerce, CRM/CDP, training, sales and loyalty programmes. If you have experience working on transformation projects with large multinational organisations that span multiple countries, that would be great.

An interest in, or experience of design thinking would be incredibly valuable. We view this as central to our philosophy and have integrated this into our ways of working.

This role would suit a truly integrated strategist who has a keen interest in digital execution and customer experience and is happy to get involved with pitches and be client-facing.

Our culture is important to us, so you will be a real people person; someone who can take key insights and trends to challenge and inspire the most knowledgeable of stakeholders, whilst being able to relay complex ideas to people with ease. You’ll be collaborating closely with our Client Services team, our Data Analyst, and Technical and Creative Leads.

 

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Identify new opportunities for innovation supported with best practice and data insight
  • Compile and conduct research including competitive data, emerging trends, ethnographic studies, and consumer insights
  • Evangelize the power of strategic insight to inspire cutting edge creative and digital executions
  • Be comfortable working on a wide variety of work that spans pure-play strategy all the way through to tactical executions
  • Happy and comfortable with being client-facing
  • Drive inspiring briefing and brainstorming sessions
  • Collaborate with and mentor team members with a focus on strategic insights, customer experience, digital/social content creation, platform and community management, influencer programs, analytics and reporting
  • Contribute to the development of award-entry quality work
  • Define and develop strategies to accelerate pitches and new business acquisition

 

Key skills:

  • A natural ability to solidly interrogate a brief, and keep client’s business goals at the fore
  • Solid B2B and B2C experience, with an understanding of global markets and trends
  • Be analytical and data driven to meet KPIs and drive ROI
  • Experience of, or interest in, design thinking and an understanding that this is central to our ways of working
  • Natural curiosity; excited by innovative ideas, emerging trends and culture
  • Be flexible and solutions-focused, able to collaborate across the agency
  • Demonstrable strategic experience (agency experience preferred)
  • Strong digital strategy, communications and content development background
  • Solid understanding of CX, social media and the digital landscape
  • Able to pull together an impressive pitch / proposal deck or other client-ready comms that are succinct and impactful
  • Superior communicator and organiser
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to talk and influence people at all levels
  • Ability to keep pace with our fast-moving production pipeline
  • Calm and tactful under pressure, able to juggle many tasks at once
  • Collaborative and solutions focussed
